PRODUCT SUBMISSION POLICY AMENDMENT:

There is nothing more important than safety when it comes to children and various products they play with and make use of. This is a fact upon which the staff at The Toy Man™ Product Guide remain in constant vigil to remember. As product standards for quality and safety change across the globe, so must The Toy Man™ Product Guide product submission policy product evaluation guidelines. Considering this fact, a strategic product submission policy amendment has been implemented which will in turn creates a substantial change in the process in which products have been evaluated in the past. The policy amendment has been provided below for matter of public record and perusal.

Sec. #0322 - PRODUCT INDEPENDENT LAB TESTING

#0322 I/JP(a) - No product or service will be denied opportunity for submission, based upon whether it has been independent lab tested or not.

#0322 I/JP(b) - If a company submitting a product for evaluation has not had it independent lab tested:
- It is important that they are educated in regard to the importance of independent lab testing.
- Safety is a #1 concern. The company must be encouraged to submit their product for independent lab testing.

#0322 I/JP(c) (SC1) - Independent Lab Tested Products - Confirmed

#0322 I/JP(c) (SC2) - Independent Lab Tested Products - Declared By Applicant

#0322 I/JP(c) (SC3) - Non-Independent Lab Tested Products - Declared By Applicant

Sec. #0322 I/JP(c) (SC1) - Independent Lab Tested Products - Staff Confirmed

Any option on the product submission form which does not apply to the product being submitted for review must be provided with a "Not Applicable" label selection to designate that option is not applicable.

Companies whose product is independent lab tested, must requested to provide documentation to validate that fact.

A confirmation label will be affixed in the review for all product inductees which have been through our evaluation process, and the quality/safety information on the product submission form is consistent with the independent lab results.

Our testing process is not in an independent lab environment and pertains only to the samples provided to the independent lab and The Toy Man™ Product Guide. Other samples of same product and/or future product runs from same company submitting samples for review may not meet the same testing standards.

Product must score a minimum overall score of "3" to be inducted into The Toy Man™ Product Guide.

Only web sites of product inductees which have an active license to bear The Toy Man™ Seal of Approval are eligible to make use of The Toy Man™ Product Guide Validation Pop-Up Window

Sec. #0322 I/JP(c) (SC2) - Independent Lab Tested Products - Declared By Applicant

All information we use in the quality/safety section of our reviews is based upon what is declared on the product submission form by the applicant.

Having no independent lab testing does not necessarily inflect the idea that the product is of any lesser quality OR is a risk in regard to a child's safety. It may be a top level product which simply has not yet been independent lab tested, but caution should still be observed by a consumer/buyer.

Our testing is only for the samples provided to The Toy Man™ Product Guide. Other products and/or future product runs from each company submitting samples for review may not meet the same evaluation standards.
